Mahatma, the great man himself.......

One foot down he kept,

the whole nation took a giant step.

Till his last breath, he fought for his country,

knowing that there was no boundary.

He made people believe,

that he was the one who, from torture

would make them relieved.

He used his might and wisdom,

to give us, Indians, freedom.

He was a man of silence.

Preaching to people about non-violence.

Who else can this man be?

He is the one and only,

Mahatma Gandhi.

He wanted the better of humanity,

He wanted India to be independent,

so that they would take no one's pity.

Even though he worked with the British,

he fought against their ways which were selfish.

Who else can this man be?

He is the one and only,

Mahatma Gandhi.
