Synthetic Imprisonment

( The futilities of the contemporary, propagandistic 'Entance Coaching' slaughterhouses)

(Also, a sequel to 'Study Anthem')

Captivity is a subjective reality,

Some feel detained by harsh contexts,

While the remaining, tardily consent-

To, the abrasive veracity.

There are a few synthetic prisons,

Those which immure vernal hearts,

Of 16 or 17, or even less,(under the ironic guise of Foundation courses!)

Ramming their destitute prisoner heads'-

With the merciless sledgehammer,

Of syllabus-orientatation, and-

Crude imperativeness to befit,

Toilsome, impossible routines-

Emphatically subjecting a nestling,

To relinquishment, and seclusion,

From juvenile gaieties.

A 50, or even 100, each jampacked-

In belittling cages, devoid of tenderness.

All chilling, and anxious as to what-

Their mock-tests might garner them.

Mostly, a decent score shall be brushed aside,

While, an 'below-average' is sure to ask for-

Vulgar reproach, which might bar one-

From tralatious sanctity.

No one there bears a throbbing heart,

And a tone, demur the cold-blooded-

Urge, to dithery upbraiding.

Also, this 'synthetic imprisonment' bears,

An overpriced tag, of quarter a lakh,

We unwittingly pay and concede to this-

Savage, barbarian slaughter,

Of guiltless, youthful merriment.

All that matters in this pseudo world-

Of accomplishment sham,

Are ranks and marks only.

A youthful brain hath a Divine destiny,

To junket cloud nine, mind castles,

Effervescent beguilement of fanciful frolics,

The ineluctable company of friends,

And, the sapient propriety to lead-

A life, which one formulates for oneself.

What remains, are meager years to unriddle-

The obscure enigmas of life.

But before that, one ought adhere,

To the divine testament, which contrives-

One to enjoy his youth in utmost mirth.

But, the 'entrance modules' enervate and demoralise-

The very codicil, through outrageous breach,

Of almost all youthful liberties.

Remember, Life's to explore and savour,

Time is the warden, who renders consent,

The stringent lady grants occasional privileges,

Which, once forfeited shall be lost irretrievably.

Youth, once lost-

Is lost forever.

And life with a lost youth,

Is like a comatose patient,

Devoid of any direction.

Abolition of 'entrance coaching'-

Slaughterhouse propagandas,

Is a current necessity, towards-

Building a nation minus lunatics,

Who've an appetite for,

Nonsensical 'RANKS'.
